The World of William Joyce exhibit concludes Sunday, Dec. 17, at Allen Public Library, 300 N. Allen Drive. The artwork includes acrylic, watercolors, oils and pencil illustrations on loan from the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature in Abilene. The exhibit is free.

The main source of revenue for the Friends of the Allen Public Library is their on-going book sale in the gallery area at the library, 300 N. Allen Drive. Donated books, magazines and various types of electronic media are available for purchase. Donations are always needed and appreciated, and can be dropped off to staff at the check-out desk. All donations are tax-deductible, and a staff member will happily provide you with a donation receipt.

The Allen High School orchestra will be traveling Monday to the 60th annual Midwest Clinic, a prestigious international band and orchestra conference. Students will join representatives from all 50 states and more than 30 countries. Congratulations on being selected - especially since it was your first time auditioning!
