Allen artist Murray Stein's prize-winning wood art will be on display from Thursday, Dec. 21 through the end of January at the Allen Public Library, 300 N. Allen Drive.

The deadline to enroll in Collin County Community College District’s Student Leadership Academy II: Advanced Leadership Theory is Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The Student Leadership Academy is a rigorous semester-long leadership experience, and is designed to encourage leadership, integrity, professional development, scholarship and service.Only 25 students will be accepted into the spring LEAD 2301 course.
Applications are available at the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement in Room F105 at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

The Russell Creek YMCA will be hosting a Holiday baseball camp and pitching clinic. The camp and clinics will be directed by Rick Wright, former Texas coordinator and top-rated instructor with the Doyle Baseball schools. They will also feature guest instructors and Frisco Rough Riders Pitchers, Steve Rowe and Thomas Diamond. The one-day pitching clinics will be offered Friday, Dec. 22 or Tuesday, Jan 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 9-16. The Three-day baseball camp will run Wednesday through Friday Dec. 27-29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 7 -14. Register at the Russell Creek YMCA, 3300 McDermott Road (just west of Independence).
