A children's program, "Making Music without Conventional Instruments," will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Allen Public Library, 300 N. Allen Drive. For children ages 3 - 12. This is the second year Allen resident Murray Stein will be on hand demonstrating how to make music with different items found around the house like empty soda bottles, wrenches, pieces of pipe, and drinking glasses.

Allen Quilter’s Guild will meet at the First Presbyterian Church of Allen at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the church at 605 S. Greenville Avenue.
