This is your chance to help homeless dogs

Allen Animal Shelter is now selling doghouses made by Curtis Middle School eighth-grade math students. The doghouses, available in a range of sizes sell for a donation of between $30 and $50 dollar and will be at the shelter, 770 S. Allen Heights Drive during regular shelter hours, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is closed Sundays. Proceeds will benefit shelter animals.

Catch the work of Allen Christian children's Artist

Aurora Images Art Gallery and Gifts and the coalition of Allen Visual Artists exhibit of work by Allen children’s Christian cartoonist and writer, Dan Foote will continue at the Aurora Images Art Gallery, from noon to 8:30 p.m.tomorrow in the North Gallery at 803 E. Main St., Suite D in Allen.

For a family New Year's Eve

McKinney Performing Arts Center and North Texas Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society will present a New Year party featuring Rick Mathews and Danny Ray playing the mighty Wurlitzer theater pipe organ, considered the crown jewel of the theater, at the Courtroom Theater at 111 N. Tenessee. The event runs from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
