Collin County offices will be closed on Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This includes parks offices, public works, courts and all other administrative offices. Offices will reopen Tuesday.

The Heard Natural Science Museum is looking for volunteers to lead natural science activities for scouting groups, helping them to earn badges Saturdays for two-hour shifts. Training and a lesson plan are provided. The minimum age to volunteer is 21.

The Collin County Junior Livestock Show will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Meyers Park and Event Center at 7117 County Road 166 in McKinney. The event is free.
