Church to celebrate Black History Month with special luncheon

Sanctuary of Praise Fellowship church of Allen will hold A Taste of Soul food tasting from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at the church, 1001 E. Main St. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for kids. The public is invited. For more information, call Pastor John Wilson, III, 469-853-2380.

Suit up for an indoor flick by the pool

A "dive-in movie," Disney Pixar’s Cars, will be shown at 7 p.m. Saturday at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium, 110 E. Rivercrest. Cost is $7 for ages 14 and older and $4 for children younger than 14.

The Special Olympics Special Angels Among Us auction and dinner annual fundraiser will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Plano Center, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway. Recently elected judge speaks tomorrow

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce and Capital One will sponsor Good Morning McKinney with recently elected county judge Keith Self at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Eldorado Country Club, 2604 Country Club Drive. The cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
