Little Miracles International adoption agency is holding a free seminar for families interested in learning about international adoption from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 in the upstairs conference room at Park Cities YMCA, 6000 Preston Road in Dallas.

The main source of revenue for the Friends of the Allen Public Library is its ongoing book sale. Donated books, magazines and various types of electronic media are for sale. Donations are always needed and appreciated and can be dropped off to staff at the check-out desk at the library. All donations to the book sale are tax-deductible. The book sale is located in the library at 300 N. Allen Drive in the gallery area.

The Collin County History Museum needs volunteer tour guides to work with students weekday mornings during the 2006-07 school year through May. Guides would give a brief 10- to 15-minute introduction and help with activities such a gallery scavenger hunt and general traffic flow. Training will be provided.
The museum is located at 300 E. Virginia St. in McKinney.

Allen ISD will present singer Jim Gill at 9:30 a.m and at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16 at the Lowery Freshman Center Auditorium, 120 N. Jupiter Road. Tickets are $4 for children, $6 for adults and can be ordered online at www.allenisd.org.
