Here's your chance to help in the search for a breast cancer cure

Coldwater Creek is holding a fundraiser, Try It On for the Cure, to benefit the Susan G. Komen Cancer Center. For each shopper who tries on clothes in one of their stores through Thursday, March 1, they will donate $1 to the local Komen affiliate. No purchase necessary.
They are also offering In Pink gift cards, with ten percent of the purchase price donated to Komen. Gift cards are available in stores, online, or by calling 1-800-262-0040.
Find local Coldwater Creek stores at Preston Park Village in Plano and Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.

Thinking about running for school board?

The Texas Association of School Boards is sponsoring a free information workshop for citizens interested in running for a school board position from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Region X Educational Services Center, 904 Abrams Road in Richardson. Registration is not required.

Classical guitarist comes to Allen

Friends of Allen Public Library will present classical guitarist, Peter Fletcher at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 as part of the popular Bach to Books series in the Auditorium, 300 N. Allen Drive. The event is free.
