The Allen Philharmonic Symphony will present a dinner and concert, Scholars and Shamrocks at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at Lovejoy High School Auditorium, 2350 Estates Parkway in Lucas. Hawaiian Falls is building new concert stages at its three area water parks in Dallas, Garland and The Colony. They are currently booking live, family-friendly acts for every Friday evening from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

CASA of Collin County is seeking court appointed special advocates to help the judge make informed decisions in children’s best interest. A one year commitment is necessary and provides one consistent person who advocates for the child throughout his or her time in foster care. To help children overcome adversity and flourish in their new environment, go to the VMC website and look for CASA under Agencies.

Little off the Square Theater will present their own version of American Idol, dubbed American Idle, by director Jesse Nichols at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at El Chico, 1222 N. Central Expressway in McKinney. Tickets are $37.50 which includes dinner and a champagne toast. Reservations are required.
