The North Texas Master Naturalist Chapter will host Dr. Marcy Brown Marsden, who will give a presentation titled The Science of Climate Change (or, can Texas get any hotter?) at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 in the pavilion at the Texas A&M Dallas Agricultural Research and Extension Center, 17360 Coit Road in Dallas.
Dr. Marsden, biology professor at the University of Dallas in Irving, was recently selected to participate in the Climate Project, providing scientists and community leaders the tools to educate others about the climate change information presented in Al Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Dr. Marsden will also review the latest information from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and other trends in Texas such as changes in gardening zones.
