American Cancer Society Relay For Life Allen has an immediate need for volunteers. Walkers and runners, cancer survivors, community leaders, team captains and hard workers are all needed to make the event a reality. On average, a volunteer on the planning committee will dedicate about two to six hours a month to the event except during the month of the event.
Participants will also walk or run around a track relay style for 12 hours. Contact Meredith Pickering at meredith.pickering@cancer.org or 214-819-1200. There are no age limits or restrictions. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. June 1-2 at the Allen High School stadium.
